Sultan Palace

Warrior Sultan Palace
Soldiers Palace Ngayogyakarta established in the reign of Hamengkubuwono I around the 17th century. Precisely in 1755 AD.Soldiers consisting of infantry troops and cavalry is already use the weapons in the form of musket fire and cannon. For about half a century, famous Ngayogyakarta forces are strong enough, it proved when Hamengkubuwono II entered the armed resistance to face the invasion of British troops under the command of General Gillespie in June 1812. In the Chronicle reported that the resistance of the once great Hamengkubuwono II. But since the British Government Hamengkubuwono III VOC Yogyakarta Sultanate armies disband. In October 2, 1813 agreement signed by Sultan Hamengkubuwono III and Raffles, the text implies that the Sultanate is not allowed to have strong armed forces.
